Fatherhood Friday is both a day and a growing community of dads and moms sharing stories, ideas, photos and movies with one topic in mind - fatherhood. In a world that seems happy to deliver a message that dads are incapable buffoons, Dad Blogs is committed to changing that perception. The reality is, as we see it, parents today are more aware of parenting and the impact it has on their children and dads everywhere are becoming more active caregivers. Win an iPad dad! Seriously, if you have even a passing interest in the iPad, you need to check out the giveaway at The Case Foundation. I want an iPad. I might just sign up. If I were you--I would enter to win too. The Case Foundation is running this giveaway for Father's Day to pay tribute to dads everywhere and I find that really, really cool.
With Father's Day in mind, I propose the theme of "Paying Tribute." This could mean that you write a post that pays tribute to your father, grandfather, father-in-law, or anyone who may have inspired, taught, gave you fatherly direction in your life. Use the next two weeks of Fatherhood Friday and pay tribute.
Lastly, you may have noticed the bottom toolbar is once again gone at Dad Blogs. Basically, it uses like all the memory that a really solid VPS server can throw at it and says, "Is that all you got?" So, I gave up on the bottom toolbar until the site is running on multiple dedicated servers. It just makes everything run painfully slow, and let's face it--we have enough bells and whistles on Dad Blogs as it is.
The C's won. The series is tied. At least it's interesting to watch although there is way too much one-on-one basketball being played and don't see anyone playing at a high level besides Kobe...Onto the links!

Make sure that you link to Dad Blogs in your FF posts, also--when you post your link here at DB, make sure your link points to your Fatherhood Friday post--not your blog's homepage. Make it easy for people to find your Fatherhood Friday contribution. Tweet #FatherhoodFriday as often as you can and visit & comment other FF posts with vim and vigor.
